 Phone Calls From Santa
We have partnered with The North Pole Telephone Company for our annual "Phone Calls from Santa" from December 10th through 12th. Parents with children under the age of eight (8) that live in St. Johns County can sign up to have Santa call their child at home this holiday season. Download the phone call request form or you can stop in the Recreation Department's main office located at 2175 Mizell Road, St. Augustine to fill one out. Please email or fax completed forms to abrown@sjcfl.us or 904-209-0321. Calls will be made December 10th, 11th, and 12th between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Don't delay! Santa is busy checking his list, so make sure your form is in before 5:00 p.m. on December 6th, 2019. This program is FREE! For more information, please contact Ashley Brown at 904-209-0379.

Game Truck! Middle School Teen Night
When: Saturday, November 9 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval St., St. Augustine
Details: We’ve partnered with Young Life to offer a Game Truck! Middle School Teen Night. Bring the crew and join in on the fun. There will be food available for purchase and video game entertainment from the Game Truck along with activities and music in the gym. This event is FREE and open to middle school students. Kids Art Lab
When: Thursday, November 21 and Thursday, December 19 from 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
Where: Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval St., St. Augustine
Details: These hands-on activities encourage kids ages 5-11 to create their own masterpiece. Make constellations on November 21 and create trade beads on December 19. Holiday Parent’s Night Out
When: Friday, December 6 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Where: Ketterlinus Gym, 60 Orange St., St. Augustine
Details: Kids kindergarten through 5th grade are invited for an evening of fun while we celebrate the holidays drinking hot cocoa and playing holiday-themed games.
There will be an ugly sweater contest with the top three participants winning a prize. Cost is $20 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. For more info, contact Stephanie Taylor at sntaylor@sjcfl.us or 904-669-6612.

Youth Basketball Clinics
Join our eight-week fall/winter developmental clinic for ages 5-14 that's designed to enhance player skills prior to our 2020 March Madness Youth Basketball League. Clinics run October 21st through December 18th at Ketterlinus Gymnasium, 60 Orange Street.

  • 2nd Grade Co-Ed – Mondays 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • 3rd-8th Grade Girls – Mondays 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
  • 3rd-5th Grade Boys – Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
  • 6th-8th Grade Boys – Wednesdays 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
