St. Johns Golf Club Celebrates 30-year Anniversary – Join us for a New Year's Day Shootout Tournament on Tuesday, January 1. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. The  format is two-person teams with gross and net aggregate scores. Entry is $30 per player for SJGC members and $40 for non-members. March Madness Youth Basketball is back! Are you ready for youth basketball to return spring 2019? The SJC Parks and Recreation youth basketball league tips off another exciting season for athletes ages 9-14 years old. Practices and games will take place at the Solomon Calhoun Community Center and Ketterlinus Gym. March Madness Youth Basketball

St. Johns County Golf Course Master Plan Community Meeting – St. Johns County is hosting a community meeting to provide an update regarding the timeline of the proposed St. Johns Golf Club Master Plan and Request for Proposal at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 17 at the St. Johns Golf Club, 4900 Cypress Links Blvd. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback regarding the proposed Master Plan and Request for Proposal. Holiday Camp
When: December 26, 27, 28, and 31 and January 2, 3, and 4
Time: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Where: Solomon Calhoun Center, 1300 Duval St., St. Augustine

Hastings Farm Share Event – Did you know that 1 in 6 adults in Florida are hungry or food insecure? We have partnered with Farm Share to hand out free fresh meats, fruits, veggies, and boxed and canned goods on Saturday, January 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at W.E. Harris Community Center, 400 E. Harris St., Hastings. Food will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is FREE. Farm Share Details. 11th Annual MLK Breakfast – Come celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King at the 11th Annual breakfast celebration featuring guest speaker Jarvis J. James. The breakfast will be held on Saturday, January 19 at 9:00 a.m. at W.E. Harris Community Center, 400 E. Harris St., Hastings. The cost is $25 per person. MLK Breakfast Details. Annual River Blessing – We have partnered with the Stetson Kennedy Foundation for the Annual River Blessing at Alpine Groves Park, 2060 SR 13 in Fruit Cove, on Saturday, January 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Gather at the riverfront next to the historic Bennett House for a selection of speakers followed by a silent, non-denominational ceremony of passing the bowl of water guided by a heartbeat drum by First Nations. Adult Indoor Volleyball – Serve, set, and spike! Join our adult league of pick-up volleyball. Form a team when you arrive to the gym or get your crew together for this fun, competitive league. This program is open to adults ages 18 and up and costs $20 per person. Registration is open now through December 18. Get Adult Volleyball details and find more activities.

Solomon Calhoun Pool Closed for Repairs – The Solomon Calhoun Pool is currently closed for repairs and is anticipated to be reopened by early January. St. Johns County would like to apologize for this inconvenience. For more information, please call 904-209-0377.

St. Johns Golf Club Request for Proposals –  The St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted on August 7 to initiate a Request for Proposal (RFP) process pertaining to the possible renovation of the St. Johns Golf Club golf course. The RFP will solicit offers from the private sector for construction of homes on the nine closed holes, approximately 80 acres, in exchange for upgrading and renovating the golf course to standards of modern play. Trout Creek Park Playground Closure – The playground is closed until further notice due to necessary repairs. The playground will remain closed until assessments and repairs have been completed.

Hastings Tot Lot is currently closed.
